• Last chance to see a dog in wellies!

It is your last chance to see a dog in wellies, a pig in lipstick, hedgehogs, robins and a gigantic sunflower in the exhibition Magic and Timeless, which will be closing on the 31st October.

The exhibition which opened in September showcases the work of one of our most popular artists, Laurance Simon. The exhibition has been warmly received by visitors to the gallery who have commented on the witty pieces on display from the French born ceramicist.

The exhibition is bursting with striking, colourful ceramics that will brighten any home during the winter months. Key pieces include detailed candlesticks, small dishes topped with woodland creatures and the popular ‘pig with lipstick’, which has been a real talking point. Each piece unique and beautifully decorated and might solve that difficult problem of what to give for Christmas

We often feature work by Simon, but this is her first solo exhibition. She was born in France, though has lived in London for over year 20 years.

Magic and Timeless has been a pleasure to have at the Gallery. Not only has it filled our showroom with colour but has been very popular with our customers, who have loved the comedy of some of the ceramics in the collection. There are not many places you can see a dog on roller skates and people have really engaged with a more light-hearted exhibition, which we have loved being part of.

Magic and Timeless closes on the 31st October and will be replaced with Dorothy’s Christmas exhibition on the 1st November.
