Kelly Stewart - Ollie
Born in Sydney Australia, Kelly studied a Bachelor of Design (Visual Communications) Hons majoring in Illustration at the university of Western Sydney and a further year at the Tafe West Ryde to study printmaking. Kelly moved to Edinburgh in 2000 to begin her illustration career and to travel. With fascination of Victoria, Georgian and Gothic architecture, Edinburgh became a consent source of inspiration and she began to draw individual buildings and street scenes. Kelly joined the Edinburgh Printmakers workshop in 2001, and begin the medium of silk screening as a way of combining quirky architectural sketches with mark making and hand written text. Kelly has had several exhibitions in Edinburgh including a double solo exhibition "The Paris Drawings" held at both Institut de Francais in Edinburgh in Feb-March 2005 and then in the Global Gallery in Sydney in 2006. Kelly has travelled extensively through Eastern and Western Europe, Mexico, Thailand, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, New York, Iceland, New Zealand, Australia and Scotland. Kelly continues to work in and around Edinburgh through her limited edition prints and private commissions.
